The CDC has provided new COVID-19 testing recommendations. Based on a very limited supply of testing kits, COVID-19 tests will only be given to the following people at this time: Hospitalized patients with severe illness Those living in high-risk areas such as long-term care facilities or homeless shelters Health care workers and first responders providing direct patient care This means most patients coming to a MaineGeneral facility and asking to be tested will not receive a test. 3rd floor parking garage
